throw 也可表示“联系”。

a stone's throw

a stone's throw：一箭之遥（形容两地之同距离很近）

大家可以这样理解：无论让一个力气多大的人来扔一颗石头，石头最远也只会达到三四十米的距离。但对于两个地点来说，却是个很近的距离。

所以a stone's throw常形容两地之间的距离很近,使用时常与from搭配。

例句：

My brother, Tom, lives only a stone's throw from my home.

我哥哥汤姆住在离我家只有一箭之遥的地方。
