There are four books for New Concept English. Having finished the first book: First Things First (英语初阶), Now let us come to the second book: Practice & Progress(实践与进步).
Practice, Only practice more, can we make more progress
Nothing should be spoken before it has been heard.(听过的再说);Nothing should be read before it has been spoken.(说过的再读);Nothing should be written before it has been read.(读过的再写)。

We own an old clavichord, and it was made in 1681. My grandfather bought it many years ago.
A visitor damaged it recently, as she tried to play jazz on it, and broke two strings . Now a friend of my father’s is repairing.
English is a tool for communication, NOT a science !
“Chord” in the clavichord is a part of string instrument , if there is “chord” in the instrument, we can think it is one of the string instrument. The clavichord in the text was made in 1681, it is a piece of antique, which is apt to be fragile .Not for jazz! Since jazz has a strong sense of rhythm or a great sense of the beat, so the clavichord is NOT suitable for playing jazz on it. Jazz is originated from Boston in 1920’s , which also called Jazz Times. New Orleans is the hometown of Jazz. The one of jazz’s characteristics is improvisation
Believe it or not? It is your turn to learn English in a unique way, NOT the traditional method to learn it as "knowledge".
