China

教师节是1931年由国立中央大学设立的，1932年由中华民国中央政府采用。1939年，又把教师节定位8月27日，也就是孔子的生日。1951年中华人民共和国废除了这一规定。1985年又重新设定教师节为每年的9月10日。现在越来越多的人希望将教师节改为孔子诞辰日。

Teachers Day was founded at the National Central University in 1931. It was adopted by the central government of the Republic of China, in 1932. In 1939, the day was set for August 27, Confucius birthday. The Peoples Republic of China government abrogated it in 1951. It was reestablished in 1985, and the day was changed to September 10. Now more and more people are trying to revert the day back to Confuciuss birthday.

In Russia, Teachers Day was celebrated on the first Sunday of October, between 1965 and 1994. Since 1994, the day is observed on the October 5, coinciding with World Teachers Day.
